Home Depot HDQC Senior Analyst, Vendor Operations in Vancouver, Washington

POSITION PURPOSE

The mission of the QuoteCenter product team is to radically re-imagine the shopping experience at Home Depot utilizing the latest data tools and web technologies. We are searching for a Vendor Operations Analyst who is passionate about creating a great experience for Home Depot associates and supplier partners through the HDQC vendor portal and marketplace.

The Sr Vendor Operations Analyst is responsible for building and managing relationships with vendors, negotiating accurate and complete cost, assortment, and lead time, analyzing data to perform root cause analysis and resolution of special order sourcing issues, analyzing and actioning vendor data quality reports, training vendors on changes to the HDQC tools, identifying process and system improvements to drive special order efficiency, and ensuring that key strategic performance metrics are achieved. The Sr Vendor Operations Analyst will also work closely with the Product Management, Development, and Support functions to identify and prioritize improvements to the HDQC vendor portal tools and special projects/pilots to drive more sales.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 30% - Leverage analytics and data visualization tools to guide business analysis projects to identify and prioritize improvements to HDQC vendor portal tools.

  • 30% - Act as the representation for the vendor space in key pilots/projects designed to drive new sales

  • 30% - Create and run strategies to govern and improve vendor data quality; monitor key data quality metrics and address performance issues

  • 10% - Develop SOPs for HDQC vendor operations business processes

This position reports to Manager.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 6-8 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of vendor relations, call center or customer service experience

  • Recent experience in a relevant vendor / merchandising analyst type role

  • Vendor management/relationship experience strongly preferred

  • Develop and act upon strategy.

  • Understanding of process improvement, root cause, key performance indicators.

  • Analytical, strategic, and constructively critical; proven ability to develop comprehensive solutions to complex problems.

  • Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Software skills including Excel, Word.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Self-starter, requires little to no direction to be effective at role.

  • Excellent communicator in both verbal and written form.

  • Polished presentation skills, creating materials and presenting to various levels of management.

  • Ability to analyze and summarize data to produce recommendations

  • Strong story teller, is able to formulate cohesive messages with meaningful and impactful points that resonate with target audience.

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams, analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills

  • Understanding of retail and merchandising concepts
