Home Depot HMS Specialty Services Closer in Southfield, Michigan

POSITION PURPOSE

The Specialty Services Closing Representative works in a call center environment at Home Depot's Measurement Services. The Specialty Services Closing Reps role is to provide quality professional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds company standards of excellence and customer expectations to a particular client (StarFloors for example) and real estate owned properties. The position is responsible for working directly with customers and technicians to ensure all orders are fulfilled. That includes scheduling jobs, calculating jobs, reviewing floor plans and following up with Measure Technicians to ensure full understanding of job within the client location. This position is directly responsible for creating, maintaining and improving customer relationships with real estate owned and particular clients during sales and product inquiry transactions. The position is also directly responsible for meeting and or/exceeding sales, individual call quality and various related department goals.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

60%-Initiate outbound calls to customers, providing customer service by assessing customer needs and providing installation solutions.

35%-Inbound calls from customers and stores to ensure measure technicianshave details as to there assigned job.

5%-Review and edit of drawings in the HDMS installation program. Review and adjustment to quotes.

Position reports to Specialty Serivce Manager

No direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 0 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous customer service or retail sales experience is preferred.

  • Skilled at consistently providing outstanding customer service, following through on responsibilities to customers and recovering from any errors made.

  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects and assignments accurately, catching errors before completion, despite a large workload, competing demands and a fast paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers.

  • Ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities and obtain and manager resources so that work objectives are accomplished on time.
