Home Depot HDMS MANAGER SALES OPERATIONS in Southfield, Michigan

POSITION PURPOSE

The HDMS Manager, Sales Operations is responsible for assisting in the development and support of a sales culture across the business. The Manager, Sales Operations identifies gaps, determines best practices, and assists in the implementation of continual process improvement. The Manager, Sales Operations will remain knowledgeable of key processes, business initiatives and internal resources in order to assist the sales team in accomplishing company goals.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

20% - Responsible for the successful development of sales operations procedures within HDMS. Collaborate in design, development and implementation of sales platforms, training, processes and procedures with a focus on the continual improvement of processes that contribute to driving a sales culture

20% - Collaborate with THD stores, field associates, business operations and sales center to align the end-to-end sales vision and process. Work with vendors or contractors on sales processes. Collaborate with the flooring team to define and deliver sales pilot programs to improve conversion. Work with service providers to ensure that service processes align with THD. Collaborate with Learning Team to develop consistent materials, communications and culture with a focus on flooring sales, product and installation knowledge and THD value proposition.

20% - Utilize business knowledge and experience to participate in the development of any system enhancements. Continuously research and remain knowledgeable of industry, product and installation trends.

20% - Identify opportunities within HDMS Sales Center and make proposals to create value and increase operational efficiency. Work closely with Sales Managers and Supervisors to address issues or concerns and to ensure efficient and timely resolution. Work effectively with internal support departments (WFM, Sales, Business Operations).

20% - Responsible for evaluating, planning, and assisting in the implementation of continuous improvements in sales operations processes and practices. Other aspects of the job include team building and group facilitation, compiling and tracking data, process mapping and developing SOP, training materials and other documents.

NATURE AND SCOPE

This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Sales Operations.

This position has no direct reports.

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years business operations or related field sales experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:- Ability to effectively manage time, resources, and meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical, oral communication and technical writing abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and motivational skills

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Captivate
