Home Depot DISTRIBUTION CENTER MGR,NRCC in Reno, Nevada
The Distribution Center Mgr, NRCC implements and monitors all logistics management activities to ensure the overall success of a highly complex, 250,000 - 1.5 + million square foot, multi-facility distribution environment. Responsible for the on-site management of all 3PL and Transportation Partners with oversight for management, planning, organization and execution of day-to-day operations for the distribution center. The Manager will be responsible for maximizing productivity and expenses while working ethically and modeling Home Depot's core values. The Distribution Center Mgr develops strategies and objectives, while leading a team of associates, 3PL Partners, or managers through the successful the successful execution meeting THD expectations. They will ensure the distribution center is optimally organized to provide excellent customer service to Home Depot Stores and Customers by ensuring all merchandise is delivered on-time and damage free. The Manager must have a comprehensive knowledge of the Distribution, Warehousing, and Delivery business, be able to use this knowledge to formulate goals and objectives and be capable of motivating his/her self and respective partners to work as a team and accomplish these goals and objectives.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
50% - Interact with business partners to drive results and deliver solutions including Merchandising, Finance, Vendors, Transportation, ISE Project Teams, Installers and Stores.
20% - Develops solutions that leverage the Company s volumes , systems and partnerships while providing consistently high levels of customer service in a cost-effective manner.
15% - Identifies and prioritizes logistics needs and communicates issues, challenges and recommendations to upper management in order to achieve efficient product distribution and support to all ISE Teams in achieving success on their respective projects.
10% - Financial responsibility for daily facility operational and transportation expenditures and keeping 3PL Partners within THD budgetary parameters.
5% - Coordinates with Vendors on adherence to compliance standards and resolution of variances.
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the Director of Logistics.
This position has 0-3 direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 7 years
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
Bachelors Degree concentrating in Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications
Previous change management experience (driving, influencing and inspiring change through communication at all impacted levels).
