Home Depot The Home Depot PRO - Credit Manager in Jacksonville, Florida
This position is responsible for managing and implementing various Credit and Collections Projects and/or functional staff. The Manager will lead any or all of the following teams: Credit, Collections, Special Billing and Cash Applications.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
50% - Performs managerial tasks including but not limited to coaching, mentoring, time management, reports, and analytics, workload distribution, new candidate interviewing, performance evaluations ensuring that deadlines meet or exceed expectation
20% - Serves as the subject manager expert on company/department projects and any other tasks assigned by leadership
15% - Reviews processes for improvement, provides suggestions and feedback to senior leadership as needed
15% - Interacts directly with internal customers, external customers, external vendors, internal peers as necessary to plan and resolve complex matters
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the Director, Credit and Collections.
This position has 1-10 direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in credit, collections, cash application, analytics and/or customer service
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel along with web based applications
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 5 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Proficiency with systems: Unisys, RS6000 (ERP, GetPaid or related collections software, BillTrust, FIS/Sungard products, SAP
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to produce informative reporting and analysis
Previous leadership in a professional environment
Intermediate Excel knowledge including Pivot Tables and vlookups
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:
Proven understanding of accounting concepts such as debits/credits, account reconciliation, collections efforts, credit line establishment, cash application, etc
