As an Inside Business Development Professional (IBDP), you will be the first point of contact for potential new Home Depot Pro customers. Our Inside Business Development Representatives are self-disciplined and will manage both our inbound and outbound lead activity in their territory.
We are looking for Inside Business Development Representatives who are confident, self-motivated, competitive and who thrive on exceeding goals set for them. It is vital that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of potential customers.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
70%- Your role will be to hunt for new business, qualify active leads and convert prospects into active buying customers.
15%- You will also coordinate with both Inside and Outside Account Managers to ensure proper onboarding, ramping and assignment of our new customers.
15%- You will be responsible for scrubbing leads and properly identifying key purchasing indicators and competitive trends.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Reports to the SVP of Sales. Has no direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
Ability to communicate to various groups and levels within an organization
Results-oriented, driven by both financial and career opportunities
Experience selling/ prospecting over the phone
Proactive in nature
Previous experience using a CRM sales tool like salesforce.com or a comparable sales tool
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
1-2 years experience in a Customer Service or Sales driven role
Experience using a computer, excel and outlook
Strong organization and time management skills
Able to juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines
Adaptable to a fast-paced organization with continuous change
Ability to work in a team sales environment
Professional and positive communication skills
Positive attitude and approach
