Home Depot UX Manager in Houston, Texas

POSITION PURPOSE

Customer experience optimization is more than driving conversion. It is finding all the pitfalls in which a customer might find themselves and proactively smoothing the problem spots out. We are looking for a brave soul willing to take this charge for our customer, able to both identify problems AND fix them. The Manager of CX Web Optimization will identify opportunities to make the customers experience easy and make changes to make that happen, either through direct web site changes or testing. They will drive change, innovation and thought leadership on prioritizing frictionless buying across our organization.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

20%- Lead the CX Web Optimization team with a diverse mix of content know-how and digital savviness.

20%- Partner with Business Intelligence and Customer Insights to understand our customer and develop experiences that deliver to customers’ needs

20%- Develop UX standards that increase overall customer experience as tracked by KPIs.

20%- Ability to wear multiple hats depending on need and willing to get hands dirty in brainstorming, design and coding.

20%- Be a thought leader in the organization, driving positive action to make our customers experience truly frictionless.

20%- Stay up to date on latest design and web trends and share learnings across team to improve the knowledge of all. Inspire creativity across the organization.

NATURE AND SCOPE

Position reports directly to the VP of Customer Experience

Number of Direct Reports: 1

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree program in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 4 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Expert in creating unique, persuasive web sites with tools like: -Sublime, Notepad++, Adobe Creative Suite/Ominture

Experience working with collaborative creative teams and in-house marketing departments, experience working for an online or e-commerce organization.

Experience with GIT is a plus.

Experience with online testing software, specifically Adobe Target is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Expertise with mobile responsive website design, development, and optimization.

Ability to code and troubleshoot for all major browsers.

Ability to rapid working prototypes.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

Work extremely well collaboratively; take constructive criticism.

Excellent communication, mentoring, organizational and leadership skills.

Experience working cross departmentally, driving changes collaboratively.

Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to business challenges

In-depth knowledge of Adobe Suite.
