Home Depot Online Video Producer in Houston, Texas

POSITION PURPOSE

As a key member of the GCC Earned Media Team, the Online Video Producer is primarily responsible for collaborating closely with team members and corporate stakeholders to create amazing video content. You will lead the development, production, distribution and maintenance of online or broadcast video content and to establish project goals and deliverables. The primary focus of this role is the creation and managing of content featuring products, services, and customer stories to support the Websites, YouTube and Social networks. Secondary duties may include creation or editing of video content for television and digital web promotion.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

20%- Pre-Production Development: Coordinating scripting and development; Storyboarding script; Identify and secure talent and resources. If necessary, select and hire additional crew and talent. Ensure budget compliance; Develop production schedules; Prepare set for filming. If necessary, scout and reserve non-studio shoot locations; Coordinate setup of camera, lighting, and sound equipment and any additional equipment needed

15%- Production - Execute video shoots: Direct and coach talent;Film and record storyboard sequences; Capture any additional audio related elements; Review footage and ensure capture of all required content

25%- Post Production - Record Edit and Publish Media Projects: Ingest and Organize all project related source media;Create video sequence rough edit; Upload rough edit to Vimeo, set to private and send review link to team and other stakeholders for comments and suggestions; Create and add additional titles, motion graphics, and update sequence content based on review comments; Create updated version and send for team for final review.

25%- Content Management and Analysis: Export and upload completed version to all applicable platforms – Liveclicker, YouTube, Facebook, etc.; Manage overall video library, content distribution and measurement for all platforms; Manage and archive all project media to backup server; Generate and evaluate video analytics and provide monthly video dashboard metrics for the previous month by the established deadline; Participate in bi-weekly communication and monthly SEO contact support calls with account manager for video platform.

15%- Equipment and Studio management: Supervise access to recording studio;Organize and maintain recording studio space and equipment; Ensure studio has the proper equipment and supplies to support the required project needs; Identify, recommend, and budget for current and future equipment needsNATURE AND SCOPE

This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Earned Media.

This role has no direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 4 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Familiarity with professional level cameras, various HD formats, preproduction/planning, studio and field production, lighting/grip, scriptwriting, storyboarding and photography.

Familiarity with audio production equipment, recording and editing techniques.

Comprehension of post-production software and techniques including digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.

Team player that demonstrates the ability to thrive in a team environment while working independently as needed.

Stellar written and verbal communication skills,
