The Home Depot Rental operates in over 1100 locations of The Home Depot across the US and Canada, offering large towable equipment, tools, trucks and trailer rental along with on-site equipment delivery. The large equipment fleet includes trenchers, chippers, mini-excavators, skid steers, aerial work platform equipment, and tractor loader backhoes among others. Our team consists of highly trained technicians and customer care associates throughout the United States and Canada.

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of machines in the rental fleet, including earthmoving, aerial, landscaping, and material handling equipment. Work ranges in scope from general repairs and maintenance, up to more complex repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems and diesel engines.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
20%- Performs advanced electrical system troubleshooting and repairs
20%- Performs advanced hydraulic system troubleshooting and repairs
20%- Performs diesel engine troubleshooting and repairs
15%- Performs troubleshooting and repairs on small engines, including fuel systems, oil and air filtration systems, ignition systems, etc.
15%- Performs maintenance and repairs on trailers and Makes welding repairs to equipment and trailers
10%- Performs aerial lift inspections according to required checklist and Documents all work performed on tablet technology, including completion of work orders to capture parts usage and labor, performing parts inventory counts, etc.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Reports to Regional Rental Managers.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Technical degree in mechanical field
Previous experience coordinating work
Proficient with MS Office Suites (Excel, Word)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:Ability to comprehend the basic processing of company equipment
Knowledge of shop practices, machines, and related equipment
Be accountable for the pre-flight (assembly/programing) of our equipment for customer delivery
Basic business math
Attention to detail
