Home Depot Manager, Online PMO in Austin, Texas

The Manager, PMO HD.com is responsible for managing delivery of strategic HD.com initiatives and executes the processes by which all projects are managed, tracked and reported in a consistent manner. Accountable for delivering against key project indicators, including schedule, and business readiness. Provides leadership for driving stakeholders toward successful implementations. Maintains a centralized view of all initiatives, their prioritization and value contribution towards organizational objectives. Facilitates the prioritization and implementation of strategic online initiatives.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 50% Project Management: Identifies scope and objectives of project; identifies and recommends resource needs for project; develops and executes project plan; manages deliverables and timeline; communicates status and results. Provides accurate reporting and analysis to determine results and business impact.

  • 25% Develops Talent: Develops, attracts and retains associates while helping them to meet both their career and organizational goals.

  • 15% Strategic Analysis: Identifies business strategies and objectives based on thorough understanding of the business; performs project risk assessments as well sequencing of dependencies; identifies key business risks and opportunities; analyzes and communicates results.

  • 10% Change Management: Drives change through communication of vision and objectives to gain organizational buy in. Prioritizes and integrates changes into normal business practice and develops support structures to ensure sustainability.

NATURE AND SCOPE

  • Position reports to Sr. Manager, PMO

  • Typically has direct reports as well as leadership of a work group: assigns and reviews work, trains and conducts performance appraisals.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be eighteen years of age

  • Must pass the Drug Test

  • Must pass the Background Check

  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 5

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters Degree and PMP certification

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership

  • Previous experience working in a PMO Retail / ecommerce experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Agile development and technical acumen

  • Ability to lead and manage cross functionally

  • Project Management experience in a corporate environment

  • High degree of confidentiality and professionalism

  • Experience creating, prioritizing and accepting user stories
