Home Depot Transportation Planner in Atlanta, Georgia
The purpose of this position is to ensure that truckload freight from vendors picks up and delivers on time at the right cost, and that the system accurately reflects status of all loads. To achieve this, logistics planners must work with vendors, carriers, and DCs to ensure all parties are executing as desired and that each party is accountable for failures. Each planner is responsible for a single geographic region and is the business owner of that region. The average planner will oversee 30,000 loads per year and be accountable for $35 million in annual freight spend. This Planner will solve carrier and supplier issues through the Zendesk ticketing application by researching transportation loads in our Manhattan TMS as well as providing customer service and problem resolution to internal and external stakeholders on transportation related issues.
