Home Depot SR MGR CREDIT SVCS - FINANCE in Atlanta, Georgia

POSITION PURPOSE

This position is responsible for providing financial leadership, direction, and analysis supporting all HDFS functional groups. This position plays a key role in driving functional metrics, controlling costs, and provides reporting critical to measuring the performance of the business. Works closely with the finance leadership to achieve strategic initiatives and create shareholder value. Functional liaison between HDFS and other areas within Home Depot (FP&A, Division Finance, Asset Protection, Accounting, etc.) particularly regarding payment acceptance and related costs. The position is also responsible for reviewing and analyzing the performance of Home Depot’s Private Label credit portfolios.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 25%-Responsible for planning and forecasting all Selling and Store operating (S&SO) expenses related to HDFS managed products.

  • Manage departmental G&A and Credit Marketing expense.

  • In conjunction with banking partner evaluate performance of Home Depot’s Private Label credit portfolio.

  • 25%-Provide financial analyses, support and post implementation accounting for new initiatives like Project Loan, Fuel Rewards and Home Improver.

  • Support HDFS Interchange team with quarterly COA reporting, Visa and MasterCard interchange downgrade impacts, penetration and credit card charge-back analysis.

  • 25%-Oversee /responsible for reporting financial metrics including Credit and New Account Flash, Quarterly Earnings Call and Business review slides.

  • Development of company/functional/division/store level targets and financial modeling related to the Strategic Planning Process.

  • 25%-Lead and motivate staff to achieve goals and objectives of the department

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external financial services partners (Citibank, Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover and BAMS).

  • Provide financial guidance for contract negotiations

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 7 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Prior experience with extensive financial analysis, modeling and planning

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • A thorough understanding and knowledge of the principles/disciplines of the retail industry.

  • Proven track record of ability to manage a high volume of analytical projects.

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.

  • Ability to create and manage high performing teams, both internal and cross- business.

  • Able to think strategically about business problems and opportunities and to focus efforts on projects that most closely support key company initiatives.

  • Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to leverage data and analysis to craft a well-thought story utilizing Power Point.

  • Demonstrated decisiveness and sound decision making skills and demonstrated strong results in managed projects

  • Project management skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
