Home Depot Sr. Manager Program Catalog & Pricing in Atlanta, Georgia

POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Manager Program Catalog & Pricing supports the business through product catalog development, pricing/profitability, and maintenance of all HDE product categories including windows, entry doors, and other Home Improvement categories that are introduced and updated by the Merchandising team. This includes all ancillary product accessories and upgrades, such as hardware and glass options, and related labor items necessary for installation. The Senior Manager is responsible for end to end program management of each specific product. This position manages assortment changes and the impact of these changes through the company’s process and applications collaborating with Product Owner teams and related IT teams. The position also manages assortment planning and line structure for the HDE product categories.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

25%- Manage the SKU catalog and taxonomy, pricing, product costs, labor rates, and business process for each HDE product category

25% - Collaborate with Program Merchants, Product Vendors, THD Product Owners, IT, Operations Center, and Field Management to manage the HDE business process in relation to the product catalogs and SKUs

20%-Supervise three to five salaried associates responsible for building and managing price models, maintaining product costs and labor rates, and producing retails for all HDE product categories.

20% - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement business solutions using value-based problem solving, good project management, product ownership, and Agile methodology

10% - Communicate and align on business and technical concepts with merchants, cross functional partners, and leadership team

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 7 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Problem Solving and Process improvement - Six Sigma Black or Green Belt ideal

  • Data Architecture experience

  • Strong project management / PMP certification ideal

  • Merchandising, Pricing, and Assortment planning experience

  • Success implementing large scale IT initiatives

  • Strong communication skills
