Home Depot SR BUSINESS ANALYST - SERVICES in Atlanta, Georgia

POSITION PURPOSE

Position Purpose Senior Business Analysts are responsible for leading small to medium projects and initiatives and individual processes or projects that bring value to The Home Depot. They must possess strength in written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deliver and communicate project goals effectively. Additionally, they must possess a high level of analytical ability to distinguish multiple components of a problem and develop conclusions using quantitative skills. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, leading teams on projects, effective communication to teams and other leaders, reviewing and understanding sales, financial, and operational data, identifying trends in business and the retail industry. A successful Senior Business Analyst will possess and demonstrate strong leadership skills, effective communication style, and analytical abilities.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

50% - Lead project teams and other associates

20% - Perform data gathering tasks, synthesis develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilization

10% - Produce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize

10% - Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge

10% - Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders

NATURE AND SCOPE

This position reports to the Manager. This position has 0-3 direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area.

Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Less than 10%

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 4 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.

On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce.com experience; Team player with exceptional communicational skills both verbal and written.

  • Ability to make sound business judgment, adapt to change and deal with ambiguity.

  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

  • Effectively manage issues and risks as well as strong decision making capabilities.

  • Knowledge of business processes and systems related to specific Services business.

  • Ability to present to a wide variety of audiences at all levels of leadership within the organization, both business and technical.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective business relationships and build consensus.

  • Knowledge of business processes and systems related to specific contact centers line of business.

  • Sound business judgment, analytical skills and ability to effectively manage issues and risks as well as strong decision making capabilities. Effective consulting and facilitation skills and strong presentation skills.

  • Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences at all levels of leadership within the organization, both business and technical.
