Home Depot Sr. Business Analyst, Services Real Estate in Atlanta, Georgia

POSITION PURPOSE

To ensure the Program Pricing Models accurately record and calculate all material and installation costs as defined by the installation standards and produce retail pricing that meets gross margin goals. Work in conjunction with the program merchants to manage all inputs (product costs, bundle assumptions, labor costs, miscellaneous costs and gross margin), retail calculations and outputs (retail pricing worksheets, labor bills) for the pricing models. Works directly with merchants and vendors to ensure costs and product assumptions are accurately structured within all systems and databases. Works with merchants and senior management to produce accurate Light Commercial bid packages. Develops and executes retail and cost change projects that impact sales and install customers in the field. Designs and implements processes to bridge workflow and operational inefficiencies. Works with other functions to aid integration of new technology and processes.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

70%-Develops and manages Retail Price Models to produce accurate retail pricing and supporting documents for all programs by managing the inputs, calculations and outputs as defined by the business. Executes detailed project plans to publish new retail pricing and install costs.

10%-Manages Light Commercial bid process, ensuring accurate calculations to produce desired gross margin for program .

10%-Works with merchants to continually evaluate price model assumptions and calculations for accuracy.

10%-Conduct pricing, gross margin and cost-out analysis by program and by market.

NATURE AND SCOPE

Position Reports to Manager, Program Catalogs and Pricing

This position has no direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Industrial Engineering preferred

  • Prior experience in a consulting and/or project management role within a corporate environment

  • Prior audit and/or process improvement experience a plus

  • Six Sigma Certification a plus

  • 3-5 years of financial analysis experience.

  • Project management experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Excellent business modeling, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strong financial software skills (Excel and Access a must).

  • Demonstrated business acumen with effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail oriented and organized individual comfortable working with multiple tasks under deadlines.

  • Ability to work in a face-paced environment.
