Home Depot SEO Search Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia


As an SEO Search Analyst at The Home Depot, you will help provide reporting, insights and utilize technical skills (writing SQL/code, etc.) to enable teams to identify optimization opportunities and make data-driven decisions that drive traffic and conversion.

It is critical this position uses data to discover underperforming areas and identifies opportunities to improve overall program performance, for the areas you oversee. The role will work across multiple Marketing, Analytics, MarTech, Business Intelligence and IT teams, requiring critical planning, excellent organizational skills and swift execution in a fast-paced environment.

This individual should possess a good understanding of the marketing landscape for maximizing the organic discoverability within search engines such as Google, YouTube, Pinterest and other Earned Media.

This position may also contribute to management of billing, funding, and budgeting aspects of Earned Media in coordination with Sr. Data & Financial Analyst and Sr. Manager.

As a Data Analyst you will:

  • Analyze KPIs and automate reporting via Google BigQuery and Tableau

  • Monitor performance for SEO best practices in alignment with enterprise reporting principals and systems

  • Utilize and/or establish APIs to push and pull data from various third party sources

  • Research and develop strategies to capture meaningful data that are continuously enhanced

  • Own daily monitoring of assigned SEO performance, weekly/monthly roadmap and delivery of ad-hoc reporting


  • 35% - Researches and analyzes trends/performance data to identify opportunities for program improvements and enhancements. Manages reporting platform and performs regular and ad hoc data pulls as groundwork for analysis. Provides key insights on business performance.

  • 25% - Monitors campaign performance and executes daily operations

  • 20% - Manages technical projects via Excel

  • 20% - Writes and edits on-page and off-page content in bulk


The position reports to a Search Account Manager

No direct responsibility for supervising others.



Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Additional Environmental Job Requirements:


Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Additional Qualifications:

Intermediate capabilities with Microsoft Excel required

Must have strong editorial skills: a keen eye for grammar, spelling, syntax, and a basic knowledge of AP Style

A steadfast passion for SEO and internet marketing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Work experience with SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, or comparable database systems

• Intermediate knowledge of Google BigQuery, Python, and SQL are preferred

• Knowledge of current and developing SEO trends and best practices

• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS

• E-commerce knowledge and experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Exemplary written and oral communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others

Experience using SEO and business-related tools including: Omniture/Adobe SiteCatalyst, Search Center, Google/Bing Webmaster tools, Google Adwords, SEOmoz, Advanced Web Ranking suite, SEOclarity and keyword research tools

Prior analytics and data analysis exposure is a plus

Multi-channel marketing and/or ecommerce experience is a plus
