Home Depot SENIOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST in Atlanta, Georgia
The primary role of this position is to develop and support business intelligence and ensure data quality with our customers. Our customers are business users internal to The Home Depot. In this role you will apply techniques and methods that are appropriate, effective and leading-edge.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
30%- Developing data intelligence and in-house knowledge on competitive pricing and assortment
20%- Building data quality reports and developing a system to automatically monitor key metrics and generate alerts
10%- Reviewing and presenting progress on data intelligence and quality metrics to key stakeholders on a regular basis
10%- Fulfilling ad hoc requests/reports and developing automated solutions when needed by customer or internal teams
30%- Working closely with engineering and product teams to fix any data quality issues and look for better ways to implement Analytics solutions with innovative technology/methodology
NATURE AND SCOPE:
This role reports to a Sr Manager.
This role has no direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Work experience using statistics, data mining or related disciplines.
Education Required: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, MIS or other quantitative subject
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data
Strong communication skills: verbal and written
Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other statistical software or pricing packages (i.e. SAS, Minitab, DemandTec)
Ability to build relationships and work cross functionally with business partners
