Home Depot Senior Analyst, Pricing Analytics in Atlanta, Georgia
The Senior Analyst, Pricing will utilize data and industry research to generate insights, develop operational frameworks, and execute greenfield pricing strategies. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for gathering data using custom SQL, analyzing data to derive insights, and building presentations to gain stakeholder buy-in. The Senior Analyst will work with cross-functional partners such as Product, Store Operations, Pro, Loyalty, and others – collecting inputs and ensuring all partners are aligned on both strategy and execution. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for communicating strategies to a wide range of stakeholders, obtaining buy-in from across the organization, and carrying ideas all the way through from whiteboard to store.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
50% Design, implement and measure pricing actions to understand the trade-off between units, sales and gross margin. Utilize learnings to help merchants reach financial objectives
20% Conduct research to become subject matter expert on a specific segment of pricing and statistical analysis
10% Work across the organization and leverage cross functional teams to provide expert analytical support (i.e. domestic logistics or global supply chain costs
20% Develop and deliver influential presentations that summarize complex analyses and drive effective business decisions

This position reports to Senior Manager.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Advanced technical skills to retrieve, manipulate, analyze, and interpret large amounts of transaction-level data
Thorough understanding of SQL and experience working with cloud-based relational databases (preferably Google BigQuery)
Strategy development experience
Change management experience
Project management experience
Demonstrated success in roles requiring process development and strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and interact with business partners at all levels in a complex environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Ability to learn very quickly and independently
Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data
Strong communication skills: verbal and written
Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other statistical software or pricing packages (i.e. SAS, Minitab, DemandTec)
