Home Depot Senior Analyst, Operations Fulfillment- Process Analytics in Atlanta, Georgia
The Process Analytics Senior Analyst has responsibility for creating analytics, translating business questions to actionable insights, supporting ongoing analytical needs, designing new analytical tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality analytical solutions for The Home Depot. This role is expected to leverage effective communication skills to translate complex analyses into understandable insights, with a passion to learn and develop.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
40%-Designs and develops algorithms and models that use large datasets to derive business insights.
30%-Establishes scalable, efficient processes for large scale data analyses, model development, and model implementation.
20% – Presents findings in easily understood ways, focuses on how the data analytics fits into the bigger picture
10%-Seeks further knowledge on key developments within data science, technical skill sets, and additional data sources within Home Depot.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to Store Operations Process Sr. Manager
No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 year
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
B.S. in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
Work experience with SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, or comparable database systems.
Expert knowledge in large scale information retrieval and statistical analysis.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelors or master's degree program or equivalent in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related quantitative field
1 year work experience in data mining and statistical analysis
Experience with large-scale data analysis
Advanced technical skills to retrieve, manipulate, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data. A thorough understanding of SQL and intermediate knowledge of one other scripting/compiled/statistical programming language (VBA, Python, R, SAS, .NET, C++, Java)
