The Senior Analyst Business Analytics MET position assists in the development of advanced analytics to support the company’s strategic objectives. This role has responsibility for creating analytics, translating business questions to actionable insights, supporting ongoing analytical needs, designing new analytical tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analytical solutions for The Home Depot. This role is expected to leverage effective communication skills to translate complex analyses into understandable insights, with a passion to learn and develop.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
25%-Conduct analyses, typically of moderate to high complexity, of MET business data and processes with an emphasis on identifying trends, determining the root cause of problems and determining solutions to manage them and drive effective business decisions
25%-Build a foundation of analytical capabilities through the MET organization and coordinate the design, development, and implementation of analytical tools, technology, and business solutions that improve business decisions and drive operational efficiency
20%-Gather functional requirements, maintain documentation, and develop project plans and status reports used for managing projects and that guide the development activities of IT and supporting functions
20%-Design and develop dashboards, reports, presentations and visual aids designed to educate, inform and influence business decisions of clients and business leaders
10%-Develop and deliver influential presentations that summarize complex analyses and drive effective business decisions

Position reports to Mgr Business Analytics
No direct reports
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area.
Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Master’s degree in Analytics, Finance, Information Systems or related field
-Two to four years of experience in analytics and data modeling
- Experience using SQL, SAS, Tableau, R, Python and similar tools
