Home Depot Project Manager, Commerce Marketing in Atlanta, Georgia

POSITION PURPOSE

The Project Manager, Media Business Development will support our internal advertising business. This position has day-to-day responsibility to plan and execute advertising campaigns for our suppliers. This position will activate and communicate new marketing opportunities across the company. This position will support key sales activities to identify new business, support reporting and analytics, and streamline operations to drive sales of our advertising business.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, high-visibility team that s reshaping digital advertising in the world s largest home improvement retailer.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 40% - Assists in sales and campaign management for supplier advertising campaigns, including building marketing materials, onboarding new accounts, communicating progress to appropriate stakeholders, and owning billing and payment process, oversight of agency and vendor relationships

  • 25% - Work with cross-functional partners to educate and identify new marketing opportunities for suppliers

  • 20% - Assists management with internal advertising (monetization) business, including but not limited to new placements/functionality, creative, reporting and day-to-day maintenance

  • 15% - Work with Product Management, IT and .Com to deliver against new and existing program implementations and support and streamline the internal advertising program roadmap

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Media Business Development.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a doctoral program in a field related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in field related to business, marketing, advertising, communications, journalism or e-commerce

  • Agency or brand marketing experience

  • Previous experience with retail websites, ecommerce and analytics

  • Marketing/ad tech experience is highly desirable

  • Product management or marketing experience is highly desirable

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Highly collaborative team player who is focused, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to adapt to changing priorities and tight timelines

Ability to work with other team members in either a support or leadership role

Influential; practiced in negotiating with others in ways that result in win-win outcomes

Familiarity with analytics, advertising data/tech

Strong business planning and problem-solving skills

Must be adept in Excel and Power Point

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Manage multiple projects at the same time
