Home Depot Organizational Effectiveness Consultant in Atlanta, Georgia

POSITION PURPOSE

Located in Atlanta, GA, the Organizational Effectiveness Consultant works with a team of Industrial/Organizational Psychologists and other HR professionals on a wide variety of large-scale HR projects. Responsibilities include conducting and overseeing high-impact talent management projects including job analyses, developing and validating selection tools, designing and administering organizational surveys, facilitating assessment centers, building competency models, conducting applied research, advanced statistical modeling and analysis, and consulting with other teams in Human Resources and the business. While working on these projects, individuals are exposed to and interact with a variety of people from different functional areas and job levels across the enterprise.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

30% Develop and validate selection tools

20% Design, implement and maintain survey tools

10% Conduct job analyses and help develop competency models/success projects

20% Conduct statistical analyses

5% Facilitate assessment centers

15% Contribute to multiple HR-related projects and participate on cross-functional teams

NATURE AND SCOPE

Position reports to OE Manager

No direct reports

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Additional Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. (or ABD) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology

Minor or specialty in management, business intelligence or related field

2+ years of experience in a corporate setting

Proven experience in MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, SPSS, R or Python, SQL

Proven project management experience

Strong research and advanced data analysis and modeling skills

Strong technical knowledge in Industrial/Organizational Psychology

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:Strong research and data analysis skills

Strong technical knowledge in Industrial/Organizational Psychology

Knowledge of SPSS and other statistical programs

Action-oriented approach to project completion and a strong sense of urgency

Ability to work as part of a team

Strong relationship building and communication skills (verbal and written). Proficiency in MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel.
