Home Depot Employment Marketing Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia
The position will assist and support in the creation and execution of employment marketing materials.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, interpersonal, and graphic design skills, be proactive about providing creative options and solutions, comfortable responding to urgent requests, comfortable taking and incorporating extensive creative feedback, and working within ambiguity and complexity. Additionally, success in this role will require comfort working with multiple internal and external partners on tight deadlines and a commitment to customer service.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work simultaneously on 5+ projects based on current workload
Create visual aspects of marketing materials, websites and other media, including infographics
Put together disparate elements of a design created by another professional, such as the icons, photographs and other components necessary for a digital/print design
Consult with Brand Team to create cohesive designs that reflect our clients’ corporate cultures and goals
Assist in the development, production, scheduling and implementation of employment marketing initiatives and deliverables including collateral, advertisements (print and online), broadcast, photoshoots, promotional items, exhibit booths, signage, events and other appropriate deliverables.
Work with Sr. Manager, Managers, and Project Leaders on any additional creative needs, as needed
NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to a Sr.Manager, Employment Marketing
No direct responsibility for supervising others.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must pass per-employment tests if applicable.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE - 1
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Bachelor's degree preferred
Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, specifically with mockups, web design and multimedia presentation
Strong written and grammatical skills
Strong problem-solving skills: react quickly and appropriately to staffing/recruitment problems; follows up in a timely manner on issues not immediately resolvable
Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
Broad tactical marketing experience with a variety of mediums including media, design, print production, budgeting, copywriting/editing, vendor relationships.
Ability to evaluate/edit creative work Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to manage and effectively work with variety of internal partners and outside vendors.
Strong written, verbal and computer skills Ability to multi-task and deadline-oriented
